Description

Monadnock Family Services seeks Support Specialists able to provide mental health support to camps, after school programs, childcare centers and/or school on a planned or as-needed basis to consult with counselors to help them improve campers' positive social interactions and identify ways they can respond when a camper is in distress. The clinician will provide social emotional groups to campers, and support individual campers one on one, to develop and support positive coping skills to help campers manage their emotions. Will provide basics of mental health and social emotional training to camps, after school programs, childcare centers and/or school staff before the camp season starts.

Temporary, grant funded position.

1 full or 2 part-time positions available.

Travel: 60%, must have reliable transportation

Requirements

  • Masters Degree preferred in field of mental health or related fields (psychology, counseling, social work or related field from an accredited college or university) with at least one year in a degree-related internship under the supervision of a psychiatrist, doctoral level psychologist, a certified/licensed mental health professional, or a person with equivalent credentials OR
  • BA in a Human Service field (sociology, psychology, human services) with at least 2 years working in a mental health capacity.
