Maintenance Manager
Medical Equipment Manufacturing

Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, oversee all maintenance functions for the physical plant, utilities, and manufacturing equipment, with a focus on aseptic filling and packaging. Lead a team of up to 10 maintenance technicians, coordinating maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and projects across multiple shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment reliability for optimal production line productivity.
- Develop downtime tracking programs and implement maintenance methods to minimize equipment downtime.
- Implement reliability strategies to enhance maintenance and technician capabilities.
- Utilize visual factory concepts to optimize asset utilization and plant performance.
- Manage Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning and scheduling to reduce reactive maintenance.
- Establish 24/7 FMS alarm response and acknowledgment systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address operational issues.
- Develop employee capabilities through effective HR practices.
- Ensure adherence to company and engineering policies and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate engineering, project, and maintenance records.
- Provide project status reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues while ensuring project objectives are met.
- Ensure effective handover of facilities, utilities, and equipment.
- Perform other duties as directed by the VP Engineering.
- Lead productivity, quality, and teamwork initiatives.
- Monitor expenses and prepare maintenance budget.
- May require off-shift and weekend work.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and quality standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise up to 10 maintenance technicians.
- Oversee performance management, training, and safety procedures in collaboration with HR.
Experience and Skills needed:
- 8-10 years of experience in managing maintenance in FDA-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably with aseptic processing experience.
- Knowledge of cGMP guidelines.
- Bachelor s degree preferred, with technical background.
- Six Sigma or Lean training preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Results-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ladder logic, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with Blue Mountain BMRAM CMMS and pharmaceutical automation is advantageous.
