  • Conduct facility inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Develop health and safety procedures for all company areas.
  • Schedule and conduct training covering emergency procedures, workplace safety, and relevant topics.
  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
  • Prepare inspection reports documenting findings.
  • Maintain accessible safety data sheets.
  • Manage on-site Safety Committees and follow up on actions when necessary.
  • Handle all environmental reporting and ensure compliance.
  • Establish and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
  • Oversee and update the Emergency Action Plan, handle injury and incident notifications, conduct accident investigations, and provide case management.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance, submit reports, and handle safety-related correspondence.
  • Conduct emergency response drills and schedule safety-related training.
  • Lead Risk Assessment activities and ensure completion of corrective actions.
  • Champion Behavior-based Safety program and initiatives, providing feedback to employees.
  • Lead management of change and pre-safety start-up reviews on new equipment.
  • Assist inspection personnel from various agencies.
  • Oversee purchasing and distribution of personal protective equipment and first aid supplies.
  • Manage inspections of fire extinguishers, eye-wash stations, exit lights, and forklifts.
  • Assist HR with Worker's Compensation program administration and oversee return-to-work programs.
  • Recommend safety capital expenditure items and annual safety budget.
  • Recommend improvements in processes, management systems, procedures, and equipment.
  • Conduct job safety analysis, hazard analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Manage hazardous waste activities to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training programs.
  • Serve as a driving force behind safety initiatives, keeping management informed.
  • Facilitate Safety Committees and ensure completion of action items.
  • Partner with Plant Managers and HR regarding accountability and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead New Employee Safety Training.
  • Ensure Environmental Permit Compliance for air, stormwater, water, etc.
  • Manage ammonia-related compliance, including SOP review, RMP, MOC, and PSM.
  • Administer first aid when necessary.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
