Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This position requires CPA-level bookkeeping skills, creative thinking combined with strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to handle a variety of tasks with ease.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining financial records
- Reconcile accounts
- Invoicing and accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Expense tracking
- Assist with commercial insurance renewals.
- Interpret financial reports and provide insights to management
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Process ADP payroll in the absence the current payroll admin
- Review certified payrolls and in the absence of the current payroll admin process the certified payroll
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Other duties as needed

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hunt Valley, MD 21031: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
Special Projects:- Formulation of GL numbering schema for chart of accounts.
- Creation of closing checklists for month end and year end close.
- Development of electronic file procedures.
- Management of internal control procedures.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to take initiative and be flexible while meeting multiple demands within a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed computer skills including competence & proficiency in Microsoft Excel
