The Buehlers Restaurant Attendant is a key position within the Food Service Department. This position supports Restaurant and Food Service Operations. They work closely with their manager and co-workers to make sure that the customer has an exceptional experience while dining in our restaurant. Duties assigned to a Restaurant Attendant can vary by day and will be assigned based on the needs of the business.
**A typical day for a Restaurant Attendant may include:**
Following procedures for keeping yourself, our customers, and coworkers safe
Upholding Buehlers policies regarding a workplace free of harassment, bullying and discrimination
Specific duties may include:
* Buss tables to ensure they are cleaned and sanitized promptly after customers leave
* Assist with mentoring new employees
* Ensure the dining room is spotless table, floors, walls everything
* Comply with sanitation requirements, including health and personal hygiene standards
* Seat customers in a timely manner
* Assist with server duties as needed
* Observe proper food safety and handling procedures
* Assist catering department as needed
* In some locations, assist with Community Room duties, as assigned
* Other duties as directed or assigned to support total store operations

**Our legal team wants you to know whats required for this role:**
* Minimum 16 years of age
* Must be available to be scheduled up to 20hrs a week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs
* You may occasionally be required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
* You will need manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
* You are comfortable with a kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chefs knivesso frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise
