Job Summary

The Landscape Architect will lead high-end residential design projects from start to finish, with scope including, but not limited to, site analysis and planning, conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, permitting, and design intent follow-through. The Landscape Architect will report to the Design Manager.


Essential Job Functions


  • Attend and participate in initial site consultations with clients and the sales team.
  • Perform site analysis to develop and present schematic design packages to clients.
  • Work through a design development phase to coordinate and establish details for estimation.
  • Coordinate with in-house teams and allied professionals to develop construction documents for permitting and construction.
  • Develop planting plans and oversee field layout and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure design intent follow-through.
  • Research and account for local, state, and permit regulations to ensure requirements are met.
  • Cross-collaboration with clients and in-house teams to develop long-term relationships.
  • Opportunity to lead, manage, and develop an intern(s).
  • Stay current on best design practices and landscaping trends through continuing education.
  • Other duties as assigned may or may not be directly related to the position.


Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of residential Landscape Architecture experience.
  • RLA with State of NH Licensure or the ability to do so within a reasonable time frame.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite - Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Lumion preferred.
  • 3D design modeling and rendering experience required.
  • Knowledge of NH Shoreland & Wetlands rules preferred.
  • Horticultural knowledge of Zone 4-5 plant material.
  • Proficiency in residential landscape construction practices.
  • Strong creative background and ability to problem solve.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills that enable relationship-building.
  • Excellent time management, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Driver's License for client meetings and site visits.


Compensation and Benefits per company policy

Salary:

$85,000 - $105,000

40-45 hours weekly
