Summary/Objective
The Associate Production Manager is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to work cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, and Customer Service, among other departments. The Associate Production Manager will be responsible for daily functions such as communicating with overseas vendors to create and follow up on production orders, managing production schedules across multiple vendors, and assisting the Director of Production in cost, compliance, and logistics. The Associate Production Manager should possess high attention to detail and the ability to multitask/prioritize workload.
Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manage the production process end to end. Work with the sales team to forecast and coordinate seasonal procurement cycles. Create/manage purchase orders with multiple vendors. Monitor production schedule/delivery dates across vendors/categories
- Monitor inventory levels to address issues and take action
- Coordinate pre-season needs cross-functionally such as samples, fabric greige, styles set up
- Review and analyze reports concerning shipment inflow, stock status, etc
- Manage division cost files along with updates and changes
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies with receiving, costing, and purchase orders
- Assist in various departmental tasks and projects
Qualifications and Competencies
- High attention to detail and data
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects/deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and Windows
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience
- We welcome all educational backgrounds, especially in Business, Finance, or Economics
- At least 3-5 years in another Production, Sourcing or Supply Chain role
- Fashion apparel experience preferred
