South Florida Area Manager


Job Details

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven sales professional to join our dynamic team! The Area Manager (AM) should be highly motivated, well-organized, and a self-starter. The AM is responsible for planning, communications and activations to meet and exceed company sales objectives as well as brand awareness in the chain, on-premise and off-premise channels. Expectations are to assist in programming with distributor, conduct brand trainings, identify new business opportunities and manage current business.


The AM will report to the State Manager on a regular basis to ensure that milestones are met and work is progressing as pre-planned. This position will be responsible for implementation and management of their assigned geography in accordance with the guidelines set by the State Manager and Sales Director that will contribute to the achievement of set sales objectives. The AM will also be involved with Sales Blitzes, Market Surveys and other Freixenet Mionetto USA initiatives outside of their geography in support of the Southeast sales team.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop relationships with distributor management and sales force in their territory
  • Implement appropriate channel activation plans in key On, Off, National and Regional accounts as needed
  • Work with chain teams during key week selling periods for ads or programs.
  • On & Off Premise:
  • Work with distributor teams to grow accounts sold, volume, and achieve company plans
  • Conduct on-premise staff trainings, trade shows, wine dinners, educational seminars
  • Develop and execute market programming
  • Create and track execution of programs
  • Develops and maintain Key Account and Target lists
  • Manage point of sale and marketing materials
  • Assists inventory monitoring and forecasting
  • Conduct sales meetings and training seminars for distributor salespeople
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with their key accounts and regional accounts
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly updates to the manager
  • Provide timely and accurate weekly and monthly progress reports against goals
  • Develop positive relationships with other Freixenet Mionetto USA employees in Marketing, Administration, Logistics, Finance and other departments as needed


Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a salesperson in the Beverage Alcohol Industry.Experience should be with wholesaler, supplier, building brands and customer relations.
  • Understanding and ability to enhance and grow sales in all areas of the business.
  • Knowledge of the territory and key accounts within the territory.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the beverage alcohol industry.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills articulate with good public speaking ability/experience and excellent written skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to learn new software such as VIP, Karma, and use it effectively to achieve goals.
  • Must reside in the assigned territory.
  • Must be able to lift a case of wine (roughly 40lbs).


Work Environment: This job operates from the employee s home in the territory in a professional office environment as their base, with outside sales as the predominant work environment.


Residency: To be located in the area from West Palm Beach to Miami, Florida.
