Role Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance Automated Equipment Mechanic (AEM) to join our Finishing team in Rochester, NY.

This Maintenance AEM (Automated Equipment Mechanic) position will work both independently and with other members of our maintenance and engineering teams to provide various types of support for equipment in our Finishing manufacturing areas.

Description of Job:
As a Maintenance AEM, you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install and make improvements to Finishing processing equipment (includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics)
Work with other members of the Finishing team to resolve equipment issues
Perform alignment and adjustments as needed on production equipment
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on a wide variety of Finishing equipment
Utilize hand tools as well as maintenance shop equipment to perform tasks as needed

Required Skills/Experience:
Highly involved and motivated with a high level of mechanical / electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to change focus based on priorities
Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience
Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical machine drawings
Controls / PLC experience a plus
Significant walking or other means of mobility
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Must have ability to work individually and with a team as needed
Good team player - willing to be flexible and work with maintenance trades as needed
Excellent safety record - places safety and environment as top priority in all work
Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out process
Must be able to work in dark-room conditions if needed
Able to work occasional overtime
Able to work in standing position for extended period of time
Wear personal protective equipment as required
Good communication skills for daily interaction with maintenance and operations staff
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.
Must be able to work a rotational shift schedule (Fireman's schedule - two 12-hour days, two 12-hour nights, and 4 days of rest.
