Hodge Western Corp. (HWC) is a specialty services provider to the construction industry, specializing in safe, high production utility rock trenching, horizontal directional drilling, cable plowing, and other specialty excavation services. We serve numerous market sectors including public utility and private infrastructure development as well as renewable energy. HWC has served the construction industry for nearly 20 years and currently operates across the central and western United States with offices in Oregon and Texas.

POSITION: Rock Saw/Trenching Foreman, Central Region

Multiple years experience and very proficient + knowledgeable in all aspects of rock trenching operations. Hodge Western Corp runs Tesmec and Vermeer trenchers; familiarity with these machines is required. Knowledge of GPS machine control is also preferred.

Strength in equipment repairs and maintenance as well as the ability to fabricate and perform structural TIG welding.

Ability to lift up to 90LBS independently.

Possess excellent communication and organizational skills for managing trenching field operations and personnel.

This position is Texas-based with travel required to projects in Texas as well as other central/southern states.

Responsibilities

Manage trenching operator field personnel scheduling.

Oversee, direct, and/or conduct daily trenching activities to include start-up procedures, routine maintenance such as greasing, cleaning filters, replacing teeth, welding/hard facing, fueling and cleaning the machine(s).

Communicate immediately any safety, damage, or maintenance issues to HWC manager.

Maintain and ensure consistent and accurate field reporting including daily reports, extra work orders, safety logs, and incident reports. Be able to identify and track additional work beyond scope.

Ensure all HWC field personnel, self-included, conduct operations in a safe, clean, and professional manner at all times.
