Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with employees and managed service provider, analyzing business processes, and identifying areas for improvement such as streamlining processes and reducing costs.
- Conduct research and data analysis to inform business decisions.
- Assist in managing financial records and processes.
- Support in reconciling invoices, bank records, and drafting financial documents.
- Engage in data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger.
- Initiate vendor/supplier payments, payroll, and reimbursements from QuickBooks.
- Assist with audits or fact-checking, preparing budgets, and financial reports.
- Assist in tracking expenses for specific projects, handling invoices, and bookkeeping.
- Support marketing work streams, including content marketing, branding, and events.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Help with vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
- Support the hiring and training of new employees as needed.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reports to track progress towards operational and financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in project management, process improvement, or financial & business analysis.
- Previous experience or familiarity with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, good mathematical, and computing skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Office software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin for efficient communications with our manufacturing partner.
- Successful candidates should have experience working with data and an understanding of financial management, including budgeting and forecasting is preferred, but not required.
Internship Details:
- A 6-month internship period.
- Exceptional performers may be considered for full-time positions.
- Support and training will be provided throughout the internship period.
