Arden Companies, a growing Bingham Farms, Michigan-based leading manufacturer and distributor of Patio and Outdoor Lifestyle products to the leading retailers in the USA and Canada, has an exciting opportunity for a **Product Photographer** to be based in Bingham Farms, Michigan.
This offers flexibility for primarily home office work but requires work in office at times to accommodate photoshoots, equipment and materials organization and other tasks. Must be able to travel occasionally local and domestically as needed for location shoots.
As part of our Multimedia Design Studio. the **Product** **Photographer** reports to the Director of Creative Services & Corporate Communications and will work closely with a wide variety of internal teams to research, design and execute superior creative solutions to support various brands and retailers.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Expert in photography trends, best practices and specifications for various digital content marketing and social media platforms. A successful candidate is able to plan a complex shoot, execute to the plan within the booked time, and deliver desired assets on time, complete, and correct.
* Participates in creative concepting with marketing and advertising leads for upcoming photoshoots and ensures direction and needs of each project are clearly understood and we are prepared with the best equipment.
* Ability to plan and execute various photoshoots on competing timelines through strong collaboration with customers, designers, stylists and other core team members
* Optimizes multiple lighting configurations and manages all photography equipment on and off set
* Organized and process oriented. Able to lead post-production and also delegate in a productive manner when additional resources are needed.
* Utilizes Adobe CC (Lightroom and Photoshop) for organizing, renaming, color correction, cropping, and retouching
* Segmenting, and applying Alpha Channels to various styles of product images to prepare for fabric mapping (Ned Graphics Easy Map software experience is desired, but training can be provided for a candidate motived to learn something new)
**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**
* 5+ years of experience in a structured, process-oriented, photography role
* Expert in Canon, full-frame, professional photography equipment or able to provide their own equipment that delivers equivalent quality
* Maintains consistency and quality of work with close attention to detail
* Keeps open communication with supervisor and team to create visibility to project status throughout all stages
* Ability to produce and prioritize multiple projects at once with quick turnarounds
* Maintains an organized, transparent work structure and flow from start to finish
* Self-starter with the ability to offer various solutions and processes that allow the team to further evolve
* Seeks opportunities for improvement to photography and post-productions processes, tools, etc.
* Shares inspiration, trends and other relevant information within various presentations to teams throughout the year which can influence the future creative direction of our photography assets
**REQUIRED SOFTWARE**
* Must be an expert in Adobe Photoshop (Bridge, Lightroom and Photoshop).
* Basic Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is a plus.
* Salesforce, maintaining project status, timelines, tasks, and communication used on every project (training provided)
* Review Studio, used for project reviews and feedback (training can be provided)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook and PowerPoint will be required
