Position Overview

The Field Sales Engineer's mission is to boost the adoption of our technical solutions in the market through pre-sales activities. Working alongside sales representatives, they're on the front lines, grasping business needs and delivering tailored solutions. Responsibilities include presenting technical solutions to customers, handling RFI/RFQs, scoping and implementing solutions for customer locations, and serving as a technical expert for customers throughout the sales process.

This is a Field position that requires 50% travel throughout TX.


What you'll do as the Field Sales Engineer

  • Assist installation prepping, on-site configuration and training tasks and cut down on the marketing part.
  • Develop scope of work (SOW) by coordinating with sales, development, and product teams. Includes customer design requests and recommendations for optimal product use.
  • Onsite management and calibration of Walkbase Equipment installation.
  • Identify and address risk factors, changes in scope, and external dependencies, and implement innovative solutions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


What you'll bring to the table:

  • Applicant / Employee MUST be based in Texas
  • Applicant / Employee MUST be able to travel up to 50% for position
  • HS Diploma required; Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year enterprise software experience in a Pre-Sales support role is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced sales environment required.
  • Experience working within Linux operating environments and web UI based systems
  • Experience managing flows of multiple teams for projects/installations required
  • Ability to troubleshoot network, computer and IoT devices in a field and remote setting
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary systems and adapt workflow to regularly changing process
  • Effective oral, writing, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional organization, time management skills and multi-tasking skills.
