EVolt are seeking a seasoned and adept Manager / Director of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics proficient in Tableau, Snowflake, and dbt, and possessing a solid grasp of the EV charging sector. As the Manager / Director of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, your role will encompass spearheading and implementing data analytics endeavours to drive actionable business insights and enhance operational efficiency. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze diverse data sets, establish performance metrics, craft compelling visualizations and dashboards primarily using Tableau, and consistently pursue data-driven enhancements in business processes.
This is a full-time hybrid role, with a requirement for residing Southern California (specifically greater Los Angeles or San Diego counties).
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and manage a queue of data analysis requests from diverse business stakeholders, including the executive team.
- Collect, structure, and analyse data from multiple sources such as EV charging infrastructure, customer behaviours, financial metrics, and market trends.
- Conduct in-depth analyses and define key performance metrics for various business functions, including customer behaviours, network operations, expansion strategies, etc.
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau to offer insights on critical business metrics and performance indicators.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns in data and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify analytical needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Design and implement data models, pipelines, and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
- Continuously automate data analytics functions and reports as needed to focus on high-impact work and ensure scalability, security, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience for Manager, and 6+ years for Director, in business intelligence and data analytics.
- Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with the EV charging industry.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into data-driven insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying complex data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with Snowflake and dbt.
- Previous work experience in the EV charging or clean energy sector.
- Master's degree in Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate certification or higher.
