Job Description
We are partnering with our client and the below Manufacturing Manager opportunity!

Position Objective: To be a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing and innovating the manufacturing department related to reSAWN-made production. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/year

Hours: M-F 7 AM - 3:30 PM w/ 1-2 Saturdays/month or overtime as needed

Required Skills

  • 2-5 years experience successfully managing a team of hourly personnel
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge using Google Sheets (or Excel)
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience developing processes and procedures
  • Detail oriented with an eye for exacting quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
  • Has a positive can-do attitude
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills
  • 2-5 years experience workmen in a discrete manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of various wood species, their characteristics, and grading
  • Experience with water-based, water borne, and oil-based finishes
  • Experience developing operating budgets
  • 2+ years experience working with quality control/inspection

Responsibilities

  • Minimum 40 hours a week with 1-2 Saturdays/Month as needed
  • Reports to the Plant Manager and attends monthly Departmental Manager Meeting
  • Participate in annual budget planning and departmental structure plan development
  • Manage the team's performance through qualitative and quantitative key performance indicators
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Agent to order all materials necessary to perform the functions of the department
  • Ability to rip, plane and route material when necessary
  • Collect and track all necessary data
  • Create, implement, and present SOP's and other documents
  • Ensure completion of training programs for department personnel
  • Review and approve staff hours and PTO requests/conduct performance reviews
  • Conduct disciplinary action when necessary, including termination
  • Complete all Incident Reports and notification to HR
  • Facilitate interviewing of candidates for reSAWN Manufacturing Department
  • Demonstrate consistent desire to learn reSAWN's products and procedures
  • Oversee operator-level machine maintenance
  • Oversee and enforce quality control and quality assurance protocols
  • Work with Samples Manager, Lumber Manager, and Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to ensure accurate communications and coordination
  • Create and maintain a weekly production schedule
  • Address production coordination related questions and concerns
  • Participate in daily production meetings and address production coordination related questions and concerns
  • Work with HR Department to ensure healthy well-being of employees
  • Meet regularly with shop personnel to ensure personal and professional development
