Our client is a manufacturer and provider of a comprehensive line of high-performance semiconductor materials. They are the leading company globally in their product segment and provide their products to the largest semiconductor companies in the world.
Role Details
- Working from either 8-4 or 9-5 and supervising a team responsible for creating recipes in the facility that runs on a 24/5 basis.
- Ensuring that the engineers below you - and about two dozen operators - are producing the exact recipes for the products that the clients have ordered. The customer specs involve less than .01% variability so a background in statistical analysis is key to success.
- Utilizing JMP for statistical analysis and to ensure accurate material balancing.
- Working with equipment including vessels, pumps, filters, and pressure gauges/valves.
- Setting priorities with the graveyard supervisors on action plans for the coming days.
- Involvement in raw materials inspections and accountability to a Material Review Board that come from the parent company.
- Working with customer issues to provide data and spearhead corrective actions when required.
- Automating various types of equipment in the facility and working on various projects.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience mentoring/managing teams.
- Hold a post-secondary education in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience working in a High-Volume Manufacturing Environment.
- Experience doing Statistical Analysis and utilizing software such as JMP.
Nice to Haves
- Exposure to PLCs or SCADA.
- Experience managing CAPEX projects.
- Continuous Improvement (LEAN, SIX Sigma, Kaizen, etc...).
Compensation Package
- $130,000 - $150,000 base salary
- 12% annual bonus
