Intermountain Electronics is seeking Electrical Assembly people for our South Point, OH facility 2nd (Afternoon) shift. General carpentry, skill with hand tools, and great work ethic are some of qualifiers for this position.

What You Will Do

As an Electrical Assembly person, you will do general labor to integrate components into Power Distribution Units.

* Wire and install electrical components, switch gear, electrical switches and electronic instruments and devices, such as: programmable logic controllers (PLCs), data loggers, relays, breakers and other electronic instrumentation equipment used in the manufacture and repair of electrical power stations and equipment
* Troubleshoot and diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and make necessary repairs
* Conduct electrical testing and recommend or initiate modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards
* Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions
* Adjust, calibrate, align, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance

We Are Looking For
Someone able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics. Industrial knowledge of electrical equipment and devices common to the industry with a knowledge and understanding of high voltage electrical. Because we work in a team environment the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those encountered in the course of the work is important. Willingness to learn and curiosity are important.

Experience and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED, plus 2-3 years industry related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, AS degree in Electrical Technology or closely related field a plus
  • Knowledge of practices, methods, techniques, tools and equipment used in the design, manufacture, installation, testing, calibration, and repair of electrical equipment and devices common to the mining industry
  • Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of high voltage electrical testing and safety procedures
  • Experience in calibrating and repairing a wide variety of electrical and equipment and instrumentation devices
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain various electrical tools, testing devices, meters, etc.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, frequently stand, sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Experience with various hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, electrical testing equipment
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated proficiency to achieve high quality
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
