Position Summary:

Logistics Business Management will be to engage with clients to manage our solutions and services, drive business development activities including developing and managing project partner programs for resellers, and assist with implementing programs for other business partners. Also, this lead will oversee daily operation activities, manage and plan both domestic and international transportation to meet customer's satisfaction and oversee overall daily operations for all warehouses to successfully deliver results, especially customer service and finance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and Provide leadership and implements short-range plans and identify goals and objectives to meet the business mission and strategic plans
  • Provides leadership to warehouse management by implementing short range plans and identifying goals and objectives to meet the plant's mission, and strategic plans
  • Manages various functions related to Inbound/Outbound, air/ocean transportation, local distribution, drayage, logistics and warehouse management
  • Manage various functions related to air/ocean transportation, local distribution, drayage, logistics, and warehouse management
  • Ensure operational best practices with customer requirements and company guidelines
  • Utilize Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems.
  • Report and conduct thorough investigations for any service failures, accidents misconduct, security issues, or claims to the concerned Dept. for immediate support and/or response
  • Produce reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis briefing company leaders on the issues for that particular day
  • Conduct daily status meetings with the management team to review the prior day's performance and to develop an action plan for the current day
  • Increase the overall productivity by implementing relevant employee training, budgeting effectively, eliminating inefficiencies and capturing growth opportunities
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Manage branch end-to-end employee process with HR: recruiting, retaining, managing performance evaluations and compensation planning working closely with HR business partner (goal setting, promotions, succession planning, and compensation planning)
  • Develop high-performing work teams to effectively meet the changing needs of the business by
  • Support motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
  • Monitor the operation status of the entire business to increase the level of operation, and secure profit and loss to ensure business continuity
  • Work with the sales team by engaging with clients to sell our solutions and services, including assisting with implementing programs for our customers
  • Maintain and keep the good business relationships proposing efficient work processes to the key client
  • Internal and external reporting with SDS HQ in Korea
  • Forecast and manage yearly/monthly revenue and net income


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business-related field, logistics or Supply Chain required
  • 13+ years of Logistics management experience required
  • 5+ years of experience as a logistics manager with a proven record of leadership and performance required
  • Strong understanding of the transportation in Domestic and International Freight and warehouse operations with Supply Chain Knowledge required
  • Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate openly and effectively
  • Ability to build trustworthy relationships with customers at all levels (C Level, Managers, Staff)
  • Strong cross-functional teamwork, collaboration, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
  • Experience with Logistics Cost Analysis, understanding the contents of logistics costs incurred in air/sea transportation, and identify trends and appropriate market price
  • Experience with finding the optimal route with various transport modes and multimodal transport and setup for transport
  • Experience in leading a group of team members with effective leadership
  • Experience in establishing and managing a logistics process for each type, such as warehouse operation/local transportation and operating guidelines.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with marketing programs and campaigns
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • TMS and WMS system experience preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30% in the US
  • Bilingual Korean preferred
