The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join the Membership and Marketing Team. NAEYC is a professional membership organization with 90+ employees across the US that work to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. NAEYC advances a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and supports all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute and monitor comprehensive marketing plans and programs across a variety of channels
  • Manage and execute outreach initiatives and multi-channel marketing campaigns to include direct mail, email marketing, print, and other marketing channels
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Membership and Marketing and internal teams to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives to expand awareness among the target demographic
  • Analyze marketing data, trends, technologies, and key performance metrics to track progress, measure ROI, and inform future strategies
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or significant equivalent experience in a related field: business, marketing, communications, public relations
  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional marketing experience incorporating responsibilities to track and analyze data.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit membership or education association a plus.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, listening.
  • Solid knowledge to use email marketing software is preferred.
  • Track record of using association management software to conduct member research, develop targeted audience sub-groups and evaluate ongoing progress is preferred.
  • Proven team player, highly motivated, self-starting professional with with well developed time management skills
  • Technically comfortable with association management systems, learning new digital tools and platforms; Ideally skilled in the use of Google Apps, Google Analytics, MS365 including Sharepoint

Position Designation: Business Support indicates that the role supports the overall strategic direction of NAEYC, but is not required to have a daily presence in the office, or be called upon in the event of an emergency or crisis. This role is eligible for telework with one day onsite each week preferred. This role may be eligible for 100% remote work outside the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Some travel is required.
