Job Description
Operating metal fabricating machinery by performing semi-skilled tasks as described below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Set up and operate various machines to form parts. Machines include, but are not limited to, non-computer programmable press equipment, drill gantry and saws.
* Position sheets/parts into the press appropriately.
* Cycle machine using appropriate palm button mechanism.
* Lifts, moves, clamps and bolts dies and fixtures on various machinery.
* Fills tanks and oil cups with lubricants.
* Helps lift and position work pieces.
* Brushes or blows dirt from dies.
* Removes work piece and scrap from machines.
* Files, grinds or scrapes sharp edges, burrs, scales or rust from work pieces.
* Hammers out bent or warped spots in metal.
* Sorts, marks or tags finished work.
* Transports material or signals crane operator to move materials.
* Compares work piece with straight edge or template to verify conformance to specifications.
* Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment.
* Performs other routine duties as needed.
Qualifications
Press Brake Experience a plus
CNC Operating Experience Preferred but not required
Works well with hands and hand tools
Competent in accurate Blue Print reading skills
Proficient in tape measure usage
Basic math skills required
Organizational skills required
Education and/or Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; one to three years experience is preferred.

* Prefer prior Fabrication (Press, Shear, Fab) experience.
