Our client, a leading national parts distributor, is expanding its team and seeking a dynamic Procurement Buyer to support the growing business. This role presents a unique opportunity for exposure to key stakeholders and involvement in strategic sourcing, supplier analysis and contract management within a national parts distribution context.
Procurement Buyer Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs
- Develop and implement procurement strategies
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms align with organizational goals
- Monitor contract performance and address any issues that may arise
- Analyze pricing proposals and cost structures to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Implement cost-effective strategies without compromising quality
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure purchased products meet required standards
- Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the supply chain
Procurement Buyer Requirements: - Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 1-3+ years within procurement
- Attention to details paired with strong communication skills
