IPPOLITA was founded by Florence born and raised artist Ippolita Rostagno. In 1999, after having identified a void for fine jewelry that could be worn every day, she created a line of her own. Her background in sculpture led her to create a signature language of organic silhouettes and sculpted forms. With shapes imprinted directly on her body, Rostagno has created a line of jewelry that has an unmistakable style and is known for its inherent wearability.


In November 2020, Ippolita Rostagno, CEO and Creative Director of her eponymous jewelry brand IPPOLITA, opened her boutique on Chicago s Magnificent Mile. The Chicago boutique represents a conceptual, innovative way of shopping fine jewelry. With its open-selling experience it removes the traditional behind-the-glass" boundary found in most luxury jewelers. Customers are invited to touch, try on and experience the jewelry in a more intimate, direct way as though opening and stepping into one s personal jewelry box.



Role Description


This is a full-time on-site role for a Store Manager located in Chicago, IL. The Store Manager will be responsible for achieving business objectives, human resource management, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of sales associates to achieve individual and store sales targets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance and product knowledge.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and accountability.


Sales Performance and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Set challenging yet achievable sales targets for the team and monitor performance against goals.


Customer Experience and Relationship Management:

  • Ensure that every customer receives personalized attention and exceptional service in line with luxury standards.
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and tact.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with VIP clients and high-net-worth individuals to drive repeat business and referrals.


Merchandising and Visual Presentation:

  • Oversee the visual presentation of the store, ensuring that displays are visually appealing and showcase the jewelry effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with headquarters to replenish stock as needed.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to highlight key pieces and seasonal collections.


Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of operation.
  • Manage store expenses and budgets.
  • Conduct regular physical inventories.
  • Ensure boutique maintenance is performed.
  • Create and manage relationships with maintenance vendors.


Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial spirit must be a self-starter and have a passion for building a business.
  • Proven experience in luxury retail management, with a strong track record of driving sales performance and leading teams to success.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Deep understanding of the luxury jewelry market, including product knowledge, industry trends, and customer preferences.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
