An international bleeding-edge technology manufacturing firm is currently conducting a search for a Senior Accountant. This position will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of the company's operations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting and analysis, month-end closing, inventory processes, cost decision support, and cost monitoring, among other duties. The qualified candidate should possess a solid working knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and technical proficiency in relevant software and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis: The Senior Accountant is responsible for completing gross margin analysis of the company's products, inventory, and overall value. This includes preparing, analyzing, and reporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly gross margins
Month-End Closing and Inventory: Assist in month-end closing and inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and validity of inventory
Cost Decision Support: Utilizing software and spreadsheets, the Senior Accountant helps with cost decisions on production
Cost Monitoring and Feedback: The Senior Accountant monitors costs of goods sold and provides feedback to meet goals
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: More than three years of general accounting experience. Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, math, business administration, or a related field is required.
Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and experience using an ERP software system.
Detail-Oriented and Organized: The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure
