Maintenance Manager
A private and prestigious Club in Erie, Pennsylvania established in 1893 is looking for a new Maintenance Manager. The Kahkwa Club has a championship golf course, 5 har-tru tennis courts, 6 pickleball courts, an Aquatic Center with snack bar and tiki bar, 2 dining rooms, 3 bars, as well as private function areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient and timely maintenance and repair of the Club s facilities, equipment, grounds, and buildings
- Manage maintenance personnel and maintenance activities
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of boilers, air compressors, conveyors, motors, and bearings
- Ability to diagnose and implement repairs to refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, glass chillers, and related items; as well as commercial ovens, fryer units, convection ovens, commercial mixers and other kitchen equipment
- Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Comply with health and safety regulations and practices on site
- Conduct preventative maintenance work in all areas
- Conduct safety inspections as scheduled/needed
- Order materials needed for all maintenance projects
- Knowledge of skilled trades and general understanding of building codes
- Well-founded knowledge of practices, tools, equipment, methods, and materials used in maintenance
- Able to diagnose minor HVAC problems and implement repairs
- Able to open and close Aquatic Center pool and facility each season; including the ability to diagnose problems and implement repairs to the pool
- Works with planners and contractors to obtain quotes and coordinate projects in all Club areas
Requirements
- Able to frequently stand, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders
- Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds
- Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions
- Experience with painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and other miscellaneous maintenance duties
- Private Club, resort, and/or hospitality experience preferred
- Must have good diagnostic skills and know when to call in an outside contractor
- Minimum three years facilities maintenance experience in supervisory or management capacity
