Summary

The Facility Utility Operator performs with high-quality commercial roofing accessory products at the Burgaw Plant. Responsibilities include various rotating duties relating to departmental operations. The Facility Utility Operator partners with other machine operators, lead and supervisor to establish and maintain an environment where safety, quality, service and cost are the highest priorities.

  • Pay Rate: $21.48-$22 per hour
  • Regular Work Schedule:
    • Second Shift: 3:30 pm to 2:00 am (Monday through Thursday)
    • Overtime as required


Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Operate a wide variety of mobile equipment including floor scrubber, forklifts, and scissor lifts
  • Inspect equipment daily and be able to perform light maintenance to keep the equipment running efficiently
  • Perform a variety of changing tasks as directed by the shift supervisor or Operations Manager
  • Monitor the plant during work duties to identify and report any safety issues or concerns
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the outside of the individual operator work cells
  • Participate in and complete all required training, and safety engagement, and participate in any projects as assigned.


  • Inspects equipment for operating efficiency. Cleans, perform basic maintenance, and makes minor repairs or specified operating adjustments to equipment.
  • Cleans and maintains work areas in accordance with plant standards.
  • Must be self-directed and require little supervision
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to sweep, mop and organize areas throughout the plant
  • Ability to perform dusting and cleaning at a high level within the plant using lift equipment
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and job duties
  • No safety incidents with mobile equipment within the last year
  • Ability to produce high expectations for timeliness and accuracy
  • Ability to produce high results

Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching for up to 4 hours without sitting
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis


Under This Roof, We Require
  • Must be comfortable communicating across diverse teams
  • Experience: 3+ months prior manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
  • Forklift license
  • Ability to be trained on the scissor lift
