Overview:

We are seeking a warm and compassionate Therapist to join our team to work with children and families in a private practice setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of evidence based therapeutic modalities including Play Therapy, Theraplay, Sand Tray, Child Centered Play Therapy, and/or IFS. As well as a passion for helping children of all abilities to go from surviving to thriving.

Brighter Days Counseling is a private mental health counseling practice with the mission of providing therapy to children of all abilities. We pride ourselves on being a practice devoted to bringing healing to children regardless of ability; accepting them exactly as they are. We utilize the child s natural language of play to provide a healing relationship with a safe, stable, and in charge adult. Included in our work is building a strong and secure attachment between children and their parents, therefore parents participate in counseling sessions with their child.

- A very competitive rate of reimbursement. (This is a fee-for-service position.)

-50% percent of the payment for 15 or less client hours per week

-60% percent of the payment for 16-18 client hours per week

-70% percent of the payment for 19-24 client hours per week

-75% percent of the payment for 24 or more client hours per week


-$1,500 per year towards continuing education trainings to continue advancing your Niche at 19 or more client hours per week


-$1,500 per year towards wellness benefits for self-care at 19 or more client hours per week


-Paying it forward: Assistance with learning all the ins and outs of how to start and manage your own private practice including obtaining insurance credentialing, submitting claims, monitoring reimbursement, developing a niche based on your specific areas of passion and expertise.

Responsibilities:


- Conduct a variety of assessments to develop an individualized treatment approach for children, teens, and families

- Provide therapy using evidence-based practice modalities with warmth and compassion

- Conduct individual counseling sessions for children, teens, and families

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes in accordance with insurance company contracts


- Continue to maintain skills with the most current research by attending continuing education opportunities


-Available for a minimum of 10 clinical hours/week, working at least 2 days or evenings per

week



Experience:

-Currently licensed as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist in New Jersey is required. Additional license in PA a plus.


- 2 or more years experience working with children under the age of 10 and adolescents in a therapeutic setting required.


- Highly desired experience in Play Therapy, Theraplay, Sand Tray, Child Centered Play Therapy, and/or IFS


-Experience working with children with neurodiversity, learning/developmental disabilities a plus. Training can be provided as well.
