Description

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for a variety of general accounting duties such as maintaining records, preparing financial reports and analysis of accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual billings for assigned grants.
  2. Prepares monthly journal entries to the general ledger.
  3. Performs financial analysis and prepares financial reports.
  4. Analyzes general ledger accounts, grants and capital projects.

OTHER DUTIES: As assigned by Assistant Controller, Controller, or Associate Executive Director of Fiscal Affairs.
  • Primary responsibility is the processing of various grants -preparing and filing financial reports, verifying payment, primary contact with funding agency
  • Collects and reviews detailed time sheets from programs against grant expenditures
  • Completes budgets, projections, and budget modifications/GARF as needed
  • Primary contact with program staff concerning grant spend down
  • Conducts petty cash, cash drawer, and gift card audits
  • Provides year-end financial statement audit support.
  • Back-up for Accounting Department functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business OR equivalent experience.
