Renhill is in need of a Facilities/Grounds Maintenance person for a company in North Toledo. This is a full-time year-round position that assists with cold/snow removal during the winter months and heat/landscaping during the summer.
Typical Hours: Monday-Friday 2:00PM-10:00PM *Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends, and some holidays)*
Pay between $25-$28 hr. depending on experience plus $1.50 shift differential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- General maintenance of the facilities, equipment, and grounds
- Repairing leaks, unplugging toilets and drains
- Maintain grounds and plants
- Mowing, trimming, planting, seeding, fertilizing, weeding, etc.
- Perform daily sweeps of the grounds to ensure trash/debris is picked up from common areas
- Empty trash containers
- Cleaning die pits
- Scrap pickup
- Clean fans and floors
- Replace electrical receptacles
- Perform routine carpentry work, minor paint jobs
- Install doors
- Replace air filters
- Follow safety procedures while operating, using, and maintaining standard yard tools and ground power equipment
- All other duties as assigned based on assignment
Qualifications: - Landscaping experience
- Experience in all aspects of landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Experience operating large industrial equipment is preferred
- Forklift Operator certificate (sit-down AND stand-up lifts) or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program is required within the first 30 days of employment
- At least 6 months of forklift experience preferred
- Physical ability to mount/dismount forklift through the duration of shift
- Bending, stretching, stepping, reaching, climbing, stooping, standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use automated inventory control equipment
- Strong ability to follow safety rules, directions/instructions
- Must have valid license with good driving record
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
