The Challenge

The Team

The members of the Eventbrite legal team are trusted partners to the entire company, and we're on the lookout for an all-star legal intern to join our team. The legal team provides practical business-oriented guidance that protects our company as it grows and evolves. Through this internship, you ll have the opportunity to actively contribute to that growth while tackling a variety of legal issues and gaining valuable in-house experience.

The Role

Eventbrite is seeking a highly motivated team player to assist the legal team in addressing the wide array of legal issues we face every day. Days are fast-paced and action-packed, and the ideal candidate will be eager to roll up their sleeves and problem-solve on issues of all kinds, with a primary focus on employment, litigation, and commercial matters, such as the following:

  • Assisting in the development, drafting and implementation of policies and procedures;
  • Maintaining, updating and revising employment agreement templates;
  • Conducting global compliance audits;
  • Assisting with leave of absence and workplace accommodation requests;
  • Drafting and negotiating vendor contracts;
  • Conducting legal research, drafting demand letters, and negotiating settlements on behalf of the Company.
The Skillset
  • Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school as a 2L, expecting to graduate in Spring 2025.
  • Excellent writing skills that can be adapted to communicate complex legal concepts to a large audience with varying or no backgrounds in law.
  • Eager to learn and a strong desire to grow and expand knowledge in the in-house legal world.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-paced environment, and balance competing priorities and timelines.
  • Collaborative team player combined with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Bonus Skills
  • Working knowledge of employment law and/or strong desire to pursue a career in employment law.
Duration

This internship position is a full-time 8-week commitment over the summer, with the possibility of part-time extension into the fall based on performance and availability.
