Orthocare, an innovative medical device manufacturer, is seeking an Orthotic Fitter in Frederick, MD.
OPPORTUNITY:
As our Orthotic Fitter, you will be part of a dynamic organization that offers superior products and services to individuals and healthcare providers. Working full-time at one of our physician practitioner s office in Frederick, you will collaborate with orthotic practitioners to evaluate and assess their patients for custom fabricated braces. Your primary responsibility will be to provide patient care and patient education. You will have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with physicians and patients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with orthotic practitioners in the evaluation and analysis of patients for custom fabricated brace process.
- Meet with physicians and case managers to review orthotic devices and services.
- Develop and enhance relationships to identify and secure ongoing and future sources for referrals.
- Perform fitting and execute minor modifications customized to the patient s needs related to disease or prescription.
- Evaluate orthotic device on each patient and adjust to ensure fit, function, and medical efficacy.
- Instruct and educate patients on the use of their orthopedic device.
- Identify and resolve issues or problems to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Provide follow-up with patients and physicians, document detailed clinical notes for patient records and verify customer insurance information.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with management for monthly, quarterly, and annual action plans.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- 4+ years of successful experience providing custom-fitted orthotics is preferred.
- Bachelor degree in a related field is required.
- Certified Orthotic Fitter with the ABC or BOC is preferred.
- Independent self-starter with sound judgement to extricate answers for physicians and clients.
- Exceptional communication skills, professional and polished demeanor with ability to articulate and converse well with prospects, customers, and medical staff.
- Go the extra distance in determining client needs and anticipate problems to avoid conflict or information gaps.
- Strong decision making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills are crucial.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills are required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
OrthoCare will reward your talents with a base salary of $55-70K plus bonus incentives for total compensation up to $100K+. You will also receive an attractive employee benefit package including medical, dental, vacation, holidays, and short/long term disability.
