Job Purpose and Skills:
The primary focus of the Treasury Management Officer is to identify, develop and build long-term relationships that motivate and provide value, thus growing business with INSBANK. This role will be responsible for new business development by structuring solutions, presenting recommendations, and promoting INSBANK deposit and treasury management solutions.
Performance of the duties requires strong attention to details, organization, tactful presentation, excellent communication and customer service, and in-depth knowledge of Commercial Banking and Treasury Management solutions. Developing, motivating and influencing others become important when fostering sound relationships. Direct contact and support with the business and its key deposit and treasury personnel is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
New Business Development
- Identify and develop new commercial business relationships through outside calling, networking functions and community events.
- Liaison with Relationship Managers to increase commercial client base through consistent sales calling efforts.
- Support sales efforts on new or prospective customers with presentations, pricing analysis, pro-forma generation, pre-call preparation, and analysis of account structures.
- Drive Treasury Management product usage.
Enhance Client Experience
- Work with RMs, CLCs and Treasury team to provide a superior onboarding/transition process for commercial clients.
- Assist with client documentation and setup process as needed.
- Prepare and analyze relationship reviews for existing clients.
- Identifies cross-sell opportunities, anticipates future needs and areas of improvement for overall relationships.
- Provide a high level of client service.
- Other Key Job Functions:
- Set priorities, plan workloads, meet deadlines and achieve objectives through the efficient use of time and resources
- Ability to analyze bank statements, analysis statements, service agreements and documentation
- Provide internal pricing recommendations and manage the overall analysis setup
- Act as a liaison between the Commercial Banking team and Deposit Operations
- Strong working relationships across entire bank
- Participate in bank committees as assigned
- Assist in marketing efforts and bank events
- Adhere to all regulatory, bank and department personnel policies and procedures
- Perform other reasonably related job responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years of commercial banking sales experience with in-depth knowledge of Treasury Management solutions
- Comprehensive understanding of Treasury Management products now and where they are heading in the future
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), or willingness to achieve certification upon hiring
- Excellent leadership and influencing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain strictest level of confidentiality
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of Products
