The Job in a Nutshell

Maxwell, an award-winning integrated marketing agency serving national purpose-driven brands, is looking for a PR Account Executive to join our lifestyle and natural food brand teams. Work includes driving national brand awareness, developing brand narrative, shaping successful pitches, building influencer and media relationships, and monitoring and assessing campaign performance. You ll gain exposure to new product launches, purpose-driven storytelling and consumer engagement efforts at an agency that believes good ideas can come from anywhere.


Responsibilities

  • Execute media and influencer relations for food & beverage and hospitality/tourism brands, including identifying targets, drafting and delivering media pitches/releases, working with media on stories, signing on influencer partners, reviewing content and more
  • Contribute to strategic recommendations aligned with client objectives
  • Identify and develop relationships with key media and influencer targets specific to client
  • Have an eye for spotting media outreach opportunities, trends; proactively share pitch angles relevant to client
  • Draft original, creative media materials from product fact sheets to media pitches
  • Manage and support day-to-day account programs and anticipate client needs
  • Contribute to performance reporting and assessments, own coverage logging and tracking with support from the team coordinator
  • Work closely with and help mentor team coordinators
  • Execute projects within timelines and budgets, tracking projects and timelines
  • Potentially contribute to social media content


Skills and Personal Qualities

  • Bachelor s degree in journalism, PR or communications preferred
  • 1-2 + years PR or communications experience
  • Strong writing skills and familiarity with drafting press releases, pitches, fact sheets, etc.
  • Strong relationship builder with a growing network of influencer and media contacts
  • Adept at sharing recommendations, presenting ideas, shaping stories and giving/receiving feedback
  • Works collaboratively in an integrated team environment
  • Highly accountable and deadline driven
  • Calm and courteous under pressure
  • Curious learner eager to stay on top of media and influencer marketing trends and best practices
