Job Summary

Responsible for managing and executing environmental, health, safety (EHS), and worker compensation programs for multiple Tell Manufacturing/Assa Abloy facilities. Position champions corporate sustainability(s) programs for the various divisions. Individual will have a leadership role in addressing and responding to regulatory and customer EHS/S inquiries. This position is responsible for EHS and compliance assurance for all U.S. locations. The successful candidate must be able to embrace change, possesses strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to efficiently balance multiple priorities.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive EHS internal audits annually at Tell Manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance and conformance with local, state, and federal regulations, company policies, and the ASSA Abloy EHS Management System.

Schedule, coordinate, and participate in 3rd party EHS audits every three years.

Schedule and conduct internal EHS Management System (EHSMS) audits at all sites annually.

Track accident and injury statistics to identify trends and develops training and programs to eliminate/reduce injuries in support of the Destination Zero Safety culture.

Serve as a technical resource to all facilities and business teams in the development and implementation of EHS processes that promote and maintain safe, healthy working conditions consistent with Spectrum s production, quality and product delivery goals.

Identify new regulatory compliance and training requirements and provide guidance to sites on achieving compliance.

Provide guidance and assistance to sites to ensure that the appropriate, timely corrective actions are identified and implemented to remedy any EHS deficiency identified at any Tell Manufacturing facility.

May assist with EHS-related transitional functions for other divisions, as appropriate.



Education and Experience Profile


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, EHS, or related field.

5+ years of experience managing EHS responsibilities at multiple manufacturing facilities.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations, policies, techniques, and practices, and of environmental protection laws and regulations.

Knowledge of corporate responsibility and sustainability requirements and best practices.



Required Skills

Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening).

Experience with a variety of computer application to include proficiency with Microsoft Outlook (Email and Calendar), Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Federal, State and Local EHS regulations.

Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and ensure that EHS plans, guidance and advise is accurate, timely and effective.

Knowledge of sustainability and corporate responsibility programs.


Effective at interacting with Tell Manufacturing s Operational personnel and other stakeholders as applicable.

Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to effectively collaborate with and lead others.

Ability to travel up to 10% to other locations.

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
