A recognized services company in Washington, D.C. is looking to add a new Systems Administrator to their growing staff.
Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator will:
- Evaluate user requests from customers experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies as well as deploying, patching, preparing, and configuring enterprise software, middleware, and independent licensed software.
- requires technical knowledge and troubleshooting experience and aptitude. The ability to learn, adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and complete work within given timelines is needed to be successful.
- Track Workstations across the enterprise and remediate.
- Software, hardware, networking troubleshooting skills.
- Broad knowledge of computer, networking, and software fundamentals.
- Provides quick, responsive, high quality and consistent service.
- Proficiency with mainstream commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Adobe Acrobat, and others.
- Proficiency in the management of platform for Windows endpoints providing inventory, software distribution, OS imaging, and settings in security management.
- Log/track incident/problem management database and maintain history records and related incident/problem documentation.
- Read, write, interpret and/or verbally communicate to solicit or explain complex or technical information using simple verbiage.
- Must be customer focused, a team player, and able to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Keeps internal customers productive and performing at the highest possible level possible.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must pass background investigation for a Public Trust.
- Associate degree in a Technical Field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Systems Administrator/Technical Specialist/Desktop Support/Vulnerability Management role.
- Proficient in PowerShell and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
- Experience working with/deploying/troubleshooting issues with Enterprise Images and creating updates.
- Detailed understanding of Windows Update mechanisms and driver management.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities in software, hardware, and networking.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role, either remote or face-to-face.
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CompTIA Security+, MCSE).
