Description

We are looking for a take charge manager to take ownership of the property, facilities, rides, pools, and attractions by overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance, safety, inspections, preventive/daily/annual maintenance, and cleanliness. Prevent problems before they occur by developing, implementing, and overseeing preventive maintenance programs that include routine inspections and maintenance of structures and equipment, along with evaluation of processes. Administrative duties include required paperwork, parts/supplies ordering, setting Team schedules, continuous training and ensuring Team Members follow all safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee building and grounds maintenance.
  • Oversee and participate in rides and attractions maintenance.
  • Oversee and maintain custodial functions.
  • Ensure Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annual, Annual Rides and Attractions manufacturer inspections, maintenance, and testing is completed.
  • Ensures that the facilities and equipment are clean and maintained according to Company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and supervise the quality of work of direct reports to ensure all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, effectively, and safely.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with ASTM, OSHA, and State standards and regulations.
  • Maintain manual and electronic documents, files, and records (inspection records, time sheet, work orders and requisitions, supplies, chemical storage, crisis management data, security controls) for the purpose of documenting activities and ensuring an up-to-date reference.
  • Ensure attractions and pools are inspected and tested daily prior to Guest use.
  • Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.
  • Manage and review service contracts.
  • Conduct and document regular facilities inspections.
  • Check completed work by vendors and contractors.
  • Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility modifications.
  • Communicate workplace safety precautions to Team Members.
  • Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management.
  • Manage Team ensuring all Team Members are following Company policies and procedures and are working safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee pump room operations for proper pool clarity and chemical balance.
  • Ensure County Board of Health and State Amusement regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensure attractions, pools, and mechanical rooms are winterized properly at the end of season, where applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • At least two years in a management role, or four years in a supervisory role.
  • At least two years of Amusement / Waterpark Rides maintenance/mechanic experience.
  • Experience with Amusement Waterpark Ride diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Hands on knowledge and experience in the safe operation of a variety of tools, machinery, lifts, and power equipment used in performing essential functions.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in various computer software programs.
  • Certified Pool Operator certification required within three months of hiring, where applicable.
  • Certification from AIMS or NAARSO required within one year of hiring
  • Proficiency in English. Proficiency in Spanish a plus.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully.
  • Ability to satisfy all physical demands:
    • significant lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 50 pounds.
    • frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling.
    • reaching above shoulder level; fine finger dexterity.
  • Ability to withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays as required.
