The Merrill Hotel looking for applicants for part-time Banquet Server positions. We are a four-diamond hotel situated on the Mississippi River in downtown Muscatine, Iowa. Ranked #1 Hotel in Iowa by the U.S. News & World Report and the #20 hotel in the United States by Trip Advisor, we consistently bring exceptional experiences to our guests with our New-American cuisine and elevated bar program. Our conference center provides service to hotel guests and patrons from around the world.We are seeking hardworking, independent, and enthusiastic individuals for our Banquet Server position.
REQUIRED TRAINING/ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:One year experience as a banquet server or comparable experience in some other food service areaMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Able to stand for ninety percent of shiftCommand of the English languageBasic mathematical skills for report/forecast preparation and other calculationsAble to work long hours and non-traditional schedules Maintain professionalism during the shift.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
* Provides table wine/cocktail service during functions.
* Deliver a high level of service to our patrons.
* Carry Trays of food to serve to guests.
* Gather proper supplies for the buffets.
* Provide and serve beverages to guests during functions.
* Follows standards and rules for safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
* Prepare beverages and accompaniments prior to an event.
* Perform necessary side work.
* Performs all other related duties as assigned.
* Handle any guest requests.
