SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and implementing a strong Sales Team and culture to achieve sales, operational excellence and business growth. Communicates and partners with the area team to meet and exceed customer expectations. Will provide effective direction and supervision to the Sales Team to achieve all sales strategies, tactics, budgets and objectives.

The pay range for this position is $77,000.00 - $112,200.00 depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

1. Develops and implements a strong and viable sales culture, organization and tactical plan for implementation supporting the market area Pricing Sales and Marketing Strategies. Communicates and partners with the Regional Vice President/Market Manager and other functional managers to develop a team approach and meet and exceed builder client expectations.

2. Identifies, recruits, hires, trains and retains new Sales Representatives and other sales personnel as needed and as approved.

3. Implements and executes against performance standards and metrics to achieve sales, operational excellence and business growth.

4. Continuously assesses current market penetration, client and competitor activity. Identifies opportunities to build a strong leading market position for the Company. Reviews market and industry information to determine trends, new product opportunities, client needs and business priorities.

5. Develops relations with market area top clients and secures business support across all areas including manufacturing, construction services and commodities distribution.

6. Implements sales initiatives to deliver sales revenue and gross profit dollar growth and delivers upon the Sales Best Management Practices.

7. Provides effective direction and supervision to the Sales Representatives and other sales personnel within their responsibility to achieve all sales strategies, tactics, budgets and objectives.

8. Attends and participates in all Company sponsored training programs as required.

9. Performs any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages Sales Representatives and other designated sales personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Companies policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and solving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common business data, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from builder clients, Company personnel, agencies or members of the business community. Ability to present information to top management, field organization and other key parties.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical formulas and various calculations. Ability to perform financial and economic analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid driver's license of the appropriate type and class issued by the state of residence to operate a Company vehicle (if assigned; temporarily or permanently) is required. Furthermore, the driver's record must be acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier and must conform to all restrictions listed on the license in order to operate any Company truck or vehicle.
