Hilltop Reserve, one of Denver's premier senior living communities, is searching for a Fitness Coordinator to join our team. Working with the Fitness Director, you will provide personal health and fitness services for our residents. This includes providing an orientation on the fitness center and equipment, completing fitness assessments, and personalized exercise equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for conducting private and small group personal training classes.
  • Promotes and advertises personal training services to residents, families, and prospects.
  • Creates a positive, fun, and safe atmosphere that promotes healthy growth and fitness for older adults.
  • Maintain wellness- and fitness-related schedules, records, or reports.
  • Develop or coordinate fitness and wellness programs or services.
  • Recommend or approve new program or service offerings that promote wellness and fitness and produce revenues.
  • Partner with the clinical team and ancillary services to determine residents who would benefit from a fitness program.
  • Conduct needs assessments or surveys to determine interest in, or satisfaction with, wellness and fitness programs, events, or services.
  • Manage or oversee fitness or recreation facilities, ensuring safe and clean facilities and equipment.
  • Evaluate fitness and wellness programs to determine their effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate proper operation of fitness equipment, such as resistance machines, cardio machines, free weights, or fitness assessment devices.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of programs and events based on resident's interests, needs, and abilities to enhance their quality of life.
  • Works with the Life Enrichment Director to distribute the calendar to residents, families, volunteers, leads and appropriate referral sources.
  • Supports and assists with special interests, clubs and hobbies of residents and provides materials for independent activities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year experience providing personal training for older adults
  • Bachelor's Degree in exercise science or related field or have a nationally recognized certification in Senior Personal Training
  • Registration as a Senior Fitness Specialist with the ACE or obtain the registration within 3 months of hire
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed

Pay:
  • $24.00 an hour
