In this role, the Packager operates machines and equipment to package products for storage or shipment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Load materials and products into packaging equipment.
* Sort and inspect products, visually verifying products meet specifications.
* Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
* Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as box misalignment, jams, or glue that isn't adhering properly.
* Create and attach appropriate labels to finished packaged items.
* Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, labels, or hardware.
* Package the product in the form in which it will be shipped, for example, inserting part into Martin boxes and containers.
* Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
* Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items.
* Count and record finished and rejected packaged items.
* Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
* Stack finished packaged items, or wrap protective material around each item, and pack the items in cartons or containers.
* Responsible for adhering to the safety and environmental policies and regulations,
* R esponsible for adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
