As the Financial Reporting Senior Associate, you will be a key member of the accounting and finance team, in a newly created role. You will be hands on in expanding and operating a robust GAAP accounting and reporting function, as ReliaQuest continues its high growth trajectory. You will use your accounting knowledge and expertise in ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and international reporting requirements. You will also apply your technical accounting knowledge to business activities and functions, to guide the company regarding financial reporting impacts and enhancing reporting processes. This opportunity requires strong technical and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail. This is a high-visibility role in a fast-growing business. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Reporting.

The everyday hustle:

  • Assist with all technical accounting matters and the application of US GAAP and local statutory GAAP.
  • Monitor and research of new GAAP pronouncements, documentation and implementation of impact and accounting process changes.
  • Preparation of consolidated and International financial statements; assist with periodic management reporting.
  • Update, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures to respond to changes in the Company's business and manage the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Understand and document reporting needs, collaborate on operational issues, develop creative solutions, and provide business guidance and insight through financial reporting.
  • Evaluate and identify areas of potential exposure and internal control weaknesses.
  • Develop, implement, document and maintain the internal systems and financial controls consistent with the Company's policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Implement best practices over financial statement preparation and reporting, general ledger account reconciliations, financial analysis.
  • Work with external audit firms during the audit, including the preparation of audit requests.
  • Coordinate with other members of the accounting department and other departments to obtain and review schedules for the preparation of internal and external reports.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.


Do you have what it takes?
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting. Masters degree in accounting preferred.
  • Licensed CPA with a minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience.
  • Big 4 public accounting firm and/or SEC registrant experience.
  • Completion of audits on publicly traded clients and/or experience with public company SEC filings and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Strong technical accounting and US GAAP knowledge, with specialty in multiple areas that may include revenue recognition, accounting for business combinations, lease accounting, and/or stock-based compensation.
  • Demonstrated clear proficiency in researching, solving for, and documenting various complex accounting issues.
  • Effective and decisive under pressure; Ability to respond to, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest of standards of completeness and accuracy.
  • Strong project management skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects and priorities.
  • Independent/flexible problem-solver; possess a strong appetite to dive into the details of the business and drive outcomes through process enhancement and automation.
  • Ability to understand the Company's mindset initiatives and ability to establish effective professional relationships.
  • Concise and professional oral and written communication skills; Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization (including our external auditors and advisors).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Professional Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
