LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accountant for a contract-to-hire position in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The compensation is $31-$40/hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Performing month-end close duties (journal entries, financial statements, & management reports)
- Ensuring accounting controls by managing assigned balance sheet accounts, performing account reconciliations with supporting workpapers
- Preparing, analyzing, and reporting the monthly Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) and revenue journal entries.
- Creating and maintaining work-papers as requested by outside financial auditors.
- Analyzing and reporting on trend and budget vs. actual variances.
- Assisting in reading and interpreting DHCS and CMS contractual language to apply to areas of responsibilities (i.e. revenue rate changes).
- Calculate and reconcile of sales tax for the Board of Equalization.
- Reconciling intergovernmental transfers (IGT) on regular intervals and distributing related funds to county hospitals.
Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/related field is required.
- Three (3) or more years of accounting experience, including experience assisting with financial audits.
- Experience working with a large ERP system.
