Workday Financials Analyst

Job Details

  • 6+ years experience in a Functional/Business Systems Analyst role with expertise in Workday Financial Management modules (min. 3 years experience administering/supporting Workday Financials)--Core Accounting, FP&A Reporting, Payroll, Timesheets, Professional Services Automation ("Projects"), Procurement, Contracting, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting (revenue/payroll reporting especially) and automation of reports (mostly manual reporting to-date); MUST have decent experience creating composite reports (pulling data from multiple areas of Workday) to help them with month-end closing challenges
  • Need a person who can build and edit Workday functions/configurations, not just run functions already built
  • Experience with BIRT would be very helpful; Workday Studio experience not required.
  • Security admin experience - ability to set up security rights
  • Thorough understanding of functionality and business process improvement through leveraging Workday's capabilities (their implementation was rushed and there's a lot of room for process improvements); everything already implemented, but a lot of configurations/changes to make to improve processes/functionality
  • Experienced with integrations with other systems/data sources; need to be able to build integrations from scratch and maintain
  • Strong ability to partner with business stakeholders to understand "as-is" and "to-be" processes and define priorities for improvements in the system, then make configuration/code changes where needed and train users on new processes/tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professionalism is required
  • Finance background helpful, but not required
