SALES ASSISTANT LIGHTING SHOWROOM
General Purpose
The Sales Assistant provides sales and administrative support in the retail showroom to Sales Representatives, and to Customers as needed.
Essential Duties
- Answer phones and direct callers to appropriate Sales Representative or department
- Take accurate and complete messages as needed
- Greet customers as they arrive and assist them, or direct them to a Sales Representative, as appropriate
- Check voicemail daily and route messages as appropriate per company policy
- Call customers when orders are ready and file paperwork per company policy
- Coordinate customer pick-ups with warehouse personnel; direct customers to warehouse with proper paperwork
- Assist Sales Representatives as requested
- Process basic customer data and sales information in computer system
- Track Sales Order status in ITE computer system
- Process returns to stock, and process parts order through the RGA department
- Process Sales Orders cancellations, and coordinate with Purchasing if item is already on PO
- Update all Sales Representatives and other personnel with all status information
- Assist Store Supervisor with weekly bank deposits
- Gather office supply order requests
- Assist in maintaining appearance of showroom, cleanliness and tidiness of all work areas
Education and Experience
- Proficiency in English
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
- Experience in retail sales operations; lighting experience a strong plus
- High School Diploma required
