Description:
Trinity Health Of New England has an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our mission-driven specialized Inpatient Rehab Acute Care team at Saint Mary s Hospital.
The Physical Therapist Assistant works in collaboration with the Physical Therapists and performs direct patient treatment and documentation to those requiring Physical Therapy.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Implements direct treatment program including using appropriate therapy material/equipment established by a PT.
- Monitors patient and modifies treatment programs in consultation with a PT to meet the patient's changing needs as reflected in documentation.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with clients, families and staff.
- Maintains effective verbal and written communication with physicians and other health care professionals by providing updated summaries and daily communication as needed.
Requirements:
- Graduate of APTA accredited PTA program
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
