The beloved Sou'wester Historic Lodge and Vintage Travel Trailer Resort is a hodgepodge of accommodation types including suites, cabins, vintage travel trailers, RV & Camping spaces on the Long Beach Peninsula in historic Seaview, Washington. Our business is growing quickly and we are in need of a skilled Business Operations and Personnel Manager to partner closely with the Owner to implement, improve, and oversee operational efficiencies in all departments.

**About the Role**

The Business Operations and Personnel Manager is the key partner to the Owner for all aspects of operations, day-to-day staff management, guest satisfaction, and community relations. They will provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximizing operations and guest satisfaction. They will be capable of seeing the big picture while managing and improving the intricacies of daily operations to ensure the hotel runs as effectively and efficiently as possible, while ensuring the quality standards of service are consistently met.

**Responsibilities**

* Develop and implement policies and procedures which improve operational efficiency and employee engagement

* Communicate performance expectations and provide employees with on-going feedback

* Drive business success through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans

* Communicate and reinforce the vision for customer service to all leads and employees

* Ensure full compliance to hotel operating procedures, policies, and service standards

* Handle guest complaints and oversee service recovery procedures

* Partner with the Finance Manager and Owner to ensure on-going profitability of the hotel

* Coach, teach, and motivate team to maintain high-quality guest service and safety

* Act as a key decision maker in hiring and promoting staff

* Additional duties as necessary to ensure the success of the team and business

**The ideal candidate will possess:**

* Previous hotel experience including leadership positions

* Self-motivation and a commitment to excellence

* A desire to help scale the business and actively work to achieve long & short term goals

* The ability to improve upon and implement processes and systems that align with staff abilities and business needs

* A great work ethic demonstrated by leading by example

* A warm, genuine, and socially engaging personality

* Excellent managerial, team building, and staff development skills

* The ability to prioritize, problem solve, exercise good judgment and time management

* Strong financial and budgeting acumen

* Clear and effective interpersonal communication

* Familiarity with Washington state and Federal labor laws

**Job Details:**

* Full-time: 40+hours/week

* Pay: Based on experience
