Overall Responsibilities:

  • Oversee agency s finances including revenue, expense, balance sheet, and working capital management.
  • Lead the commercial function including pricing strategies, negotiation of client contracts and scopes of work, and ensure agency is in compliance with client contracts.
  • Design and implement appropriate policies, internal controls and procedures that minimize risk and ensure agency is SOX compliant.
  • Develop internal controls to ensure clients are accurately invoiced based on contractual terms.
  • Provide financial and operational metrics to agency leadership and increase the agency s ability to anticipate business issues and drive sound decision making.
  • Drive an efficient, effective, and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis.
  • Develop accurate forecasting capabilities and ensuring the agency delivers accurate and reliable financial reports, on time, with compliant practices.
  • Guide key financial decisions around staffing and expense management to achieve targeted metrics.
  • Develop tools and analysis to provide critical financial and operational information and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations including identifying opportunities to optimize profitability across clients and business segments.
  • Implement innovative pricing models with clients.
  • Lead the successful and efficient financial integration of acquired agencies.
  • Developing robust client profitability, utilization, and realization tools and analysis to optimize profit margin.
  • Manage the development of a diverse, high performing, and commercially focused finance team.
  • Lead all internal, external, and other audits as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 15+ years of related experience.
  • CPA / CA highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing people and in working cross functionally across an organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with executive team members, clients and other business stakeholders to ensure the integrity of company standards and operations.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; including strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills for forecasting and a strong attention to detail.
  • Client commercial management in similar industry preferred.
  • Strong project management and performance management skills.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other basic desktop applications (i.e. MS Outlook, Exchange, internet tools, etc.) is assumed.
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Track record of leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities
  • Proven ability to manage projects to successful completion, multi-task, and work within tight deadlines.
