Job Description
A staffing company is seeking to hire a part-time Payroll Specialist. This role is open to due to promotions within their department. Looking for a candidate who can learn their systems quickly and has experience using both ADP and Excel. This role will be in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Responsibilities:

  • You will provide comprehensive support on payroll-related administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate with People Operations and HR to ensure the accuracy of employment and payroll-related information
  • Collaborate with HR to assist employees with any payroll-related inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Handle and maintaining payroll/tax notices.
  • Maintenance of payroll related system information including earnings & deduction codes/groups, tax jurisdictions & new company set-ups.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly payroll tax reconciliation.
  • Assist with year-end processing including W-2's, system calendar updates and schedules, and with US state/local tax registration efforts.
  • Maintain reports, file, and keep up-to-date records for accounting team.
  • Audit for quality assurance, data integrity, and data verification.
  • Assist with implementation of company-wide payroll initiatives and provide ongoing support as needed.
  • Organize cross-training sessions with team members to ensure adequate payroll support; train new hire leaders on internal payroll processes as needed.
  • Participate in various People projects as needed such as raise requests, payroll budget analysis, etc.
  • Payroll processing of credit card tip reconciliation and update payroll
  • Deduction and payroll election reconciliation including transit check, meal deduction, rent, loans, and other deductions when processing
  • Help HR when adjustments need to be done in payroll for insurance
  • Communicate errors in employee profiles like effective dates, work assignments, missing information, auditing timesheets, errors, a Auditing payrolls, taxes, calculations, deductions.


Requirements
  • Degree in Business-related field
  • 2+ years of payroll administration experience
  • Knowledge of payroll tax, wage and hour, tip credit and wage laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Excel
  • Experience using ADP
