Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team and drive growth within the Northeast Territory. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of successfully identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by forging strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth for the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the Northeast Territory to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Identify and prioritize key accounts and prospects within the territory, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and position the company as their preferred CDMO partner.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and close, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for clients.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, operations, and technical teams, to tailor solutions to meet client needs and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive developments, and regulatory changes within the pharmaceutical sector, leveraging insights to inform business strategy and decision-making.
  • Represent the team at industry conferences, tradeshows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and expand professional networks.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management, contributing to strategic planning and forecasting efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
  • Strong understanding of drug development processes, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and persuade key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities, leveraging market insights and industry knowledge.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and drive to achieve excellence.
  • Willingness to travel within the Northeast Territory and occasionally nationally as required.
