We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Agent to buy goods and services necessary for our business. You have the means and opportunity to raise our profits by making the most high-quality and cost-effective purchases.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and experience in the electrical field. You should know how to evaluate market conditions and adjust purchasing activities accordingly. Excellent communication skills are a must in order to negotiate effectively and maintain profitable relationships.

Job Duties and Tasks
Develop profitable purchasing strategys
Prepare and implement effective negotation tactics
Negotiate, or renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives
Monitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, or futures markets
Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services
Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods
Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures etc.)
Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts

Requirements
Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions
Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices
Ability to manage projects personally and work independently
Detail oriented and organized

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
