POSITION SUMMARY:
Boston Medical Center is seeking Nursing Supervisors (Overnight/Weekends/Holidays) to work at its 82-bed behavioral health hospital located in Brockton, MA. BMC Brockton operates as a behavioral health accountable care organization providing cutting edge inpatient treatment and stabilization for individuals experiencing complex mental health and substance use needs.
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that patients receive optimal care for their mental, emotional and behavioral disorders during the off shifts. The Nursing Supervisors work closely with the staff nurses, mental health specialists and unit coordinators providing supervision, ensuring adequate staffing coverage and addressing patient care needs in collaboration with the on-call provider. The Nursing supervisor has the responsibility to review medical appropriateness of patients presenting with comorbidities, as well as acuity levels throughout the facility to maintain quality and safety.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Provide nursing staff supervision and support
- Ensure nursing operational standards are met
- Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists in the care of the patient
- Communicate with family members, case managers and other stakeholders regarding treatment and care
EDUCATION:- Bachelor's Degree from a nursing education program accredited by a Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing-recognized national accreditation body preferred
EXPERIENCE:- Minimum of five years of experience as a registered nurse in behavioral health
